Laurie Cameron received her training at Connecticut College in New York City. She performed with the Lucas Hoving Company and has shown her own work throughout the United States. She has taught at American University, George Washington University, the Hartford Ballet Company, and served as Chairman of Dance at Connecticut College. She was special assistant to Robert Dunn at the American Dance Festival and completed her M.A. in Dance at Columbia University under his guidance. Most recently, she has coached composition at the Folkwang Schule in Essen, Germany and presented her original choreography there. She currently performs with the Marion Rice Denishawn Company, based in New England.
